Living History Famil PhotoPewter Collecting Tip

I’ve seen a lot of folks pick up an antique mug, tankard, or beaker and flip it over quickly to look for the makers (touchmark) on the underside of the vessel. Remember: A number of these items had their maker’s marks struck on the inside bottom! Take an extra minute to examine the inside of any pewter vessel you’re contemplating owning. It’s also a great place to spot signs of old repairs.
