Located in the picturesque historic hilltop village of Hillsborough Center. Settled in 1769, Hillsborough Center has over a dozen 18th and 19th century homes, two churches, a clubhouse and an intact one-room schoolhouse.

Step into the Gibson Pewter Shop and step back in time. Visitors can see one of America’s premiere pewterers at work with antique tools and machinery in a 200 year old post-and-beam barn.

The shop is open year round
Monday – Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, Sunday by chance.

Directions from Boston: Take 93 North through the NH tolls. Take exit for 89 North (Lebanon, NH). Take exit 5 off 89 to Route 202/9 West (left lane exit). Follow Route 9 to Hillsborough Exit. Take Main Street to center of town (junction of Rt. 149). Turn onto School Street (opposite RT.149) at traffic lights (see below).

Directions from New York/Hartford: Follow 91 North from Hartford, CT to Brattleboro, VT. Take exit 3 for Route 9 East to Keene, NH. Follow Route 9 to Hillsborough Exit. Take Main Street to center of town (junction of Rt. 149). Turn onto School Street (opposite RT.149) at traffic lights (see below).

From Montreal, Canada: From the U.S. border take 89 South to the junction with Route 202/9. Exit to Route 202/9 West (Peterborough). Follow Route 202/9 to Hillsborough Exit. Take Main Street to center of town (junction of Rt. 149). Turn onto School Street (opposite RT.149) at traffic lights (see below).

From downtown Hillsborough: take School Street (aka Center Rd. or East Washington Rd.) 3 miles North to Historic Hillsborough Center and Gibson Pewter. (See BYPASS map, below)
