Greetings from Gibson Pewter

Camille, Emily, Lily & I enjoyed a very busy summer in the shop. Sales of our work are up dramatically this year and we even had strong sales of antique pewter during Antiques Week in August as well. All positive signs that the economy is turning around as we look forward to Fall Foliage and visits from you, our valued patrons.

This weekend is going to be busy around here. Camille and I are both participating in the Hillsborough Area Artisans Open Studio Tour this weekend, September 21 & 22,

10:00 AM - 5:00 PM...

A belated Happy Spring to one and all! There has been so much going on around here, I’ve almost lost track of time. But the strong scent from the lilacs outside of the pewter shop is a sure sign of Spring.

Another sure sign of Spring is wedding season. We have two couples registered with us now and have been busy with numerous other wedding orders as well. The Napkin Rings have been quite popular lately since many families are going back to cloth napkins.

Father’s Day is right around the corner and we’ve had a number of orders for...

Greetings from Hillsborough Center!

We had an amazing December at Gibson Pewter! In fact, it was our best Holiday Season ever. So thanks to all of you, our loyal patrons who help to keep this small family business alive and well!

Speaking of firsts. 2012 marks the first time that we have sold out of our Annual Christmas Ornaments, the Pewter Snowflakes. We cast more in January for those who are still interested and we’re also busy designing new ornaments for 2013. Stay tuned!

Seasons Greetings from the
Gibson Pewter shop

Santa’s source for pewter since 1966!

Mother Nature delivered just enough snow last weekend to make Christmas In The Center seem magical. Customers ventured out in spite of the slick roads and enjoyed an opportunity to buy lots of high quality, locally made fine art & crafts. Many thanks to those who came!

We recently completed a second production casting of our very poplar 2012 Annual Christmas Ornaments. The Hammered and Geometric Snowflakes are selling very
well. We now have many more for...

The 2012 Hillsborough Living History Event was a big success

It’s hard to believe Summer is almost behind us. The cool morning breezes are ushering in a new season and soon, the Fall foliage will be a thing to behold. Fortunately, I have a pretty good view of the seasonal changes from our workshop.

Camille, the kids, and I have been quite busy making pewter! The pewter charms and charm bracelets have been very popular and we hope to have pictures of all the new charms up on the website soon.

We decided to introduce our...

The nesting Bluebirds in the meadow outside the shop are a joy to behold. We too are preparing for another busy Spring season in the pewter shop.

What’s New? Camille’s new Charm Bracelets have been a big hit! We’re creating many new charms so stay tuned to our website for future offerings. You can buy a finished bracelet and also purchase individual charms.

Meanwhile, I’ve been busy making chalices. Several of these are headed for Catholic Churches and that’s a fact that would have thrilled my father. Historically, the...
